Custom Equipment

In addition to our standard lines of equipment, we design and manufacture equipment specifically for customer’s individual tasks.  We work closely with each customer to ensure the equipment will perform the task successfully and safely.

On Line Tower Cleaner - OLTC

On Line Operation

The OLTC Unit is designed to remove silt and debris from cooling tower basins without the need to shut the plant down or reduce power output.  It is also the perfect tool to de-sludge and decontaminate settling ponds.

Sludge Concentration

On Line Tower Cleaner

The OLTC can be used with belt dewatering systems or tankers to concentrate sludge.

Self-Contained

The system is self-contained, requiring only 480V electrical power to operate.  The crawler includes a dredge pump, track drives, and a main body with onboard hydraulic and electronic systems.  An umbilical cable bundle connects the crawler to the operations/maintenance trailer, which is also used to transport the crawler.  The system can be towed to a remote site, provided with power from a common construction-site type generator, and deployed without any further support other than a pumping destination.

Component Descriptions:

Dredge Pump:
Dredge Pump Is rated at 510 gallons per minute through a 4 inch discharge hose. It is capable of pumping solids up to one inch in size. It is lifted by two 1-1/2 inch hydraulic cylinders, and includes a function that ceases flow to the tracks while the lift is being operated.

Track Drive:
Track Drive Locomotion is via two hydraulically driven bi-directional track systems with electronic monitoring of flow and pressure. A 20 gallon reservoir feeds a 10 horsepower pump, which drives individual drive motors for each track. Fluid returns through a 10 micron filter with a cartridge condition indicator. The tracks are designed for excellent traction in extreme mud or snow conditions. Vehicle speed is approximately 15 feet per minute with over 3,000 ft/lbs of torque.
Body:
A multi compartment watertight aluminum housing, which contains the hydraulic reservoir, the electro-hydraulic servo controls, and the electronics controls. An internal body camera and an external pan/tilt camera provide views, and external marker poles provide the operator with a visual indication of location. As an option, the crawler can be fit with sonar positioning.
Umbilical Cable:
A 240 foot long multi cable bundle protected by an abrasion resistant flexible jacket, which is dual strain relieved at the vehicle body.
Operation/Maintenance Trailer:
Operations/Maintenance Trailer An all-weather mobile control and maintenance center. The trailer is approximately 28 feet long x 8 feet wide, and requires 480V, 3 phase, 70 amp power for operation. It is heated and air conditioned throughout. The operations section contains a desk and file cabinet, and a fully integrated control console featuring multiple monitors, two commercial grade VCRs, hard copy processors, and all vehicle and camera controls. The maintenance section includes an air compressor, a tool chest, a heavy duty work bench, and a 2 ton polar crane. Ramps are provided to drive the crawler into the maintenance section for transportation.
